The European Researchers' Night event, funded under the European Union's Horizon 2020 program, is celebrated on the last Friday of every September. Before the main event, pre-events were organized at the three campuses of ODTÜ (April 29-30, 2019 @Ankara; May 7, 2019 @Northern Cyprus; May 14, 2019 @Erdemli). 191 students and their accompanying teachers and parents (n=31) from seven different schools participated in the pre-events. On September 27, 2019, ODTÜ hosted the main event on its campus with the support of 22 units (Institutes/Departments/Centers/Student Clubs) of our university, 24 external stakeholders, one ODTÜ Teknokent unit, one ODTÜ Teknokent company, and 500 volunteers. The event was set around five key areas each corresponding to a branch of art, namely drawing-painting, sculpture, architecture, music-dance, photography. The science and art communicators came together to tell visitors of all ages from 4 to 74 about how art and science can be inspired from each other and can collaborate to better understand the world around us and increase our welfare. The event was attended by approximately 8,000 people, including individual visitors and students from 113 different schools in and out of Ankara. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No: 818781.
